Since 2022, Elliot Carmel Yapo Kouadio has been captain of a vessel engaged in assistance and berthing operations for bulk carriers (Capesize, Aframax, Suezmax) at the Nouadhibou mineral terminal in Mauritania, for Boluda Towage France.
He previously served on various offshore support vessels: captain for Les Chantiers du Gabon (Perenco) in 2021 on barging and rig displacement operations; second captain for Acta Marine in Angola in 2020-2021 on bathymetric surveys; captain for Jifmar Offshore Services in Gabon in 2019-2020 on a coastal and onshore oil project; deck officer for Bourbon Offshore Surf in Nigeria and Angola from 2016 to 2019, in deep offshore operations. These missions covered the assistance of vessels and offshore structures for crude oil export and import operations, the improvement of these operations’ procedures, bathymetric surveys, the rescue of damaged vessels and the supply of offshore structures.
In Côte d’Ivoire, he was second captain on the port tugs of Ires/Boluda Towage France in Abidjan and on the Abidjan offshore (2014-2015), then boat captain for the construction of the Henry Konan Bédié bridge, Abidjan’s third bridge, for Setao, formerly SACPRM (Bouygues Travaux Publics France), from 2013 to 2014.
He holds a master mariner diploma (2015-2016) and a chief mate diploma (2009-2012) from the Regional Academy of Marine Sciences and Techniques of Abidjan, and a higher technician diploma in mining, geology and petroleum from the École Spéciale du Bâtiment et des Travaux Publics d’Abidjan (2006-2008). He is currently pursuing an Executive Master Maritime and Offshore.
He conducts research on improving freight circulation in the Greater Abidjan region, aiming to support regional trade, and mentors students in robotics. He speaks French and English.
