Katia WELAJI

Katia Welaji is an Accounting and Consolidation Analyst at Allianz France and an expert-accountant trainee currently completing the Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable (DEC). She specialises in international accounting, financial reporting and consolidation, with strong expertise in IFRS standards and financial analysis.

She holds a Master’s degree in Audit and Advisory from Burgundy School of Business (BSB – ESC Dijon) and previously completed graduate studies in Accounting, Control and Audit at the Catholic University Saint-Jérôme of Douala. She is also a candidate for the DSCG, further strengthening her technical expertise in corporate accounting and financial reporting.

Since joining Allianz France, she has been involved in financial reporting and consolidation processes under IFRS, contributing to the preparation of regulatory and financial reports, including QRTs, annual reports and statutory accounts.

Prior to entering the insurance sector, Katia Welaji spent over five years in international accounting and audit firms, notably Mazars and EY. At EY, she worked as an Experienced Accounting Consultant, producing financial statements, tax filings and corporate reporting, while also contributing to the valuation of real estate companies and investment funds. At Mazars, she served as a Senior Real Estate Accounting Consultant, handling accounting closings and financial reporting under both French GAAP and IFRS.

Her professional experience also includes roles in audit, internal control and accounting across several organisations, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of financial operations and regulatory frameworks.

Alongside her corporate career, Katia Welaji is actively involved in international solidarity initiatives with the NGO Planète Urgence, where she has trained agricultural cooperatives and associations in administrative management, strategic planning and budgeting in Africa.

Passionate about accounting and knowledge sharing, she has also been teaching accounting tutoring since 2020 through Complétude, helping students master core financial and accounting principles.
