Biography

Port Captain at NORDEN in Abidjan since November 2025, he provides shore-based technical and operational support to a dry bulk fleet calling at West and East African ports: port call management, hold inspection, management of a contractor network (bunker surveys, hold cleaning, underwater works, fumigation) and coordination of hull cleaning and propeller polishing. He liaises with agents, Port Authorities and Port State Control, and handles vessel detention and commercial disputes related to port calls. In January 2026, he completed an onboarding immersion at NORDEN’s Copenhagen headquarters.

Before moving ashore, he spent more than five years as Master and Chief Officer on diving support vessels (DSV), anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) and Multicats, including SILI MELEN, SILI RUZ, SILI GLAZ, COASTAL FIGHTER and COASTAL ATLAS, in Gabon, Congo, the DRC and Cameroon. He took part in saturation diving operations, subsea pipeline installation and maintenance, heavy anchor handling (4/8-point mooring) and logistics support on offshore fields such as the FSO/FPSO Massongo, La Lobe, Kalamu and La Noumbi.

He secured the release of the M/T NORD VIRAGE during an administrative detention at the Port of Lomé, negotiating directly with Togolese military and port authorities. In Tema, he designed a low-profile hopper repositioning solution to allow the M/V EASTBOURNE to discharge despite a draft restriction at Berth 3. During a bunker discrepancy dispute aboard the M/V KANG HONG, his counter-survey of the soundings helped settle the dispute in the owner’s favour.

He also provided technical superintendence for technical stops and dry dockings, including the technical stop of Multicat COASTAL FIGHTER at Quai Perenco (Douala), the dry dock of SILI DU at DPS (Gabon), and several dry dockings at CARENA (Abidjan) with Tidewater. He holds a Master Unlimited diploma (gross tonnage ≥ 3000 UJB) from RAMST and a Master’s degree in Law and Safety of Maritime and Oceanic Activities (Nantes University / ISMI-UN e-SEA, 2025), and is currently enrolled in the Executive MMO programme.
